Simplex 900 Series mechanical door locks are a popular choice for storerooms, service duct doors, and student accommodations. Designed for easy installation in addition to, or as replacements for existing locks.

The 900 Series offers deadbolt or automatic spring latch protection, plus a special security lock to meet US Department of Defense standards.

· No latch holdback- door automatically relocks each time door closes, so door is ALWAYS LOCKED. 

· Features spring latch plus dead latching trigger to prevent prying the latch back when door is closed. 

· Designed to comply with paragraph 36a of the Industrial Security Manual published by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). 

· Approved as a substitute for expensive guard forces in the protection of Closed and Restricted Areas in DOD contractors' plants. 

· Includes face plate shield to inhibit unauthorized personnel from observing the combination.

The following factory-installed options are available to customize your lock. Simply note the option numbers you want, then incorporate them into the product number.

Option #

1. Substitute the standard strike with a special metal door strike. 
2. Delete the key cylinder from key override models (906,910, 935, 936 only). You must specify the position of cylinder tailpiece (vertical or horizontal) to mate with your standard-size rim cylinder (not supplied).
   Recessed escutcheon recommended for standard rim cylinder installation. Your rim cylinder tailpiece must be reduced in width to accommodate the 900 Series tailpiece receptacle. (not shown) 
3. Substitute the inside thumbturn with a 2-1/2'' (64 mm) lever. 
4. Master key, key override models (906,910, 935, or 936). (not shown) 
5. Add a panic bar release kit to spring latch models (917, 919,936,938). 
6. Delete the latch holdback function (917, 919, 936, 938). (not shown)
