1000 Series

The best choice for limiting access to high-traffic, security-sensitive areas in commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. These locks are ideal for locations with a high personnel turnover rate - such as data processing centers, employee entrances, hospitals, and R & D labs.

In addition to standard pushbutton access control, the following options are available:

Key override option allows a facility to maintain or initiate a master keyed security system.

Passage feature allows access without using the entry code (keeps the door unlocked, even while closed). This function is on the inside of the door, and can be thumbturn or key activated.

L1000 Series

Same as the 1000 Series. PLUS lever-activated handles. This lock complies with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards. The L1000 Series includes privacy function model L1071. A button on the inside lever allows you to lock yourself in a room. Even if someone enters the combination from the outside, the door remains locked until you push down on the inside lever.

Entry/Egress EE1000 Series

The "entry-egress" lock is for situations where access control is required on both sides of the door. The perfect solution for airports - between departure lounge and jet way. Each side accepts an independent code. Key override option is available on one or both sides. Note: The EEl000 Series lock should not be used in areas with no other means of exit.

The 1000 and L IO00 Series comply with paragraph 36A of the Industrial Security Manual, published by the US Department of Defense.

Key override models will accept most manufacturer's removable-core cylinders: ASSA, Best/Falcon/Arrow/Eagle/KSP/Lloyd Matheson, Corbin/ Russwin, Schlage (including Primus), Medeco/Yale and Sargent.

EE1000 Series models Available

Construction: Heavy-duty cylindrical lock housing conforms to ANSI 156.2 Grade 1. Cast front (and back for EEl000) housing: with fixed knob (1000, EEl000) or fixed lever (L1000). Brass unified trim plate; Cast or wrought brass knobs (1000, EEl000); Cast lever (L1000) meets all ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards.

Door thickness: 1000, L1000:13/8'' to 21/4.' (35 mm to 57 mm); EEl000:13/8.. to 2" (35 mm to 51 mm)

Minimum stile required: 5" (127 mm)

Installation: Cross bore for housing: 21/8.' (54 mm) dia. Through bore for latch unit: 1" (25 mm) dia.

Backset: 23/4'' (70 mm).

Latch: Two available

Strike: Includes "TS" strike plate 201288-*-01 and "DB" strike box 55068-000-01. L1000 Series locks include ASA roller strike 201821 -*-01. Also available: ASA standard or roller strike with beveled lip.

Control: Includes DF59 keys for combination change, and DF5 keys for passage feature.

Reversibility: 1000 Series: Latch and hand are field reversible. L1000 Series: Factory-handed; cannot be changed in the field. EEl000: Latch and hand are field reversible.
